Dr. Megan Schultz is a psychiatrist practicing in the private sector in Gqeberha. She earned her MBChB from Stellenbosch University and completed her internship and community service in the Nelson Mandela Metro. Raised in Uitenhage, Dr. Schultz has a deep connection to the Eastern Cape. This connection led her to specialize at Walter Sisulu University through Dora Nginza Hospital. She completed her specialist training in 2020, earning the Psychiatry Medal for that year.

During her specialization, Dr. Schultz had two children and served in a state hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, which deepened her interest in mental health. After becoming a mother, her passion for maternal mental health and supporting new mothers grew even stronger. Dr. Schultz is a firm believer in a holistic approach to mental health, emphasizing that there is no health without mental health. She is a wife, mother of two, and a lover of animals and the outdoors. She strives daily to find a better balance in today’s fast-paced world.
